Hello lovely people, welcome to another baking episode of upclose with Abena. In today’s video, I’ll give a detailed recipe tutorial on how to make the best pound cake.
I’ll show you guys the type of sugar and butter texture you need to make the perfect pound cake. This recipe is very simple to make.
Super delicious and perfect pound cake recipe!
⚡️INGREDIENTS
230 grams (1 cup or 2 sticks) of unsalted butter, softened*
180 grams caster sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 large eggs, room temperature
280 grams (2 cups) plain flour or all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt.
120 ml (1/2 cup) milk (at room temperature)

2:05- Greasing loaf pan

⚡️INSTRUCTIONS:
Grease a loaf pan and line it with parchment paper or baking paper.
Combine the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing basin. Mix on low speed with an electric mixer until everything is mixed. i.e., the butter should be light, fluffy, and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, and whisk to combine.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Don’t overmix the ingredients. Whisk in the milk.
Smooth the top of the cake into the prepared loaf pan. Cook for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. If your cake is getting too brown after 50 minutes, cover it loosely with aluminum foil.
